Crafting Stories That Matter

Stories Worth Celebrating

We started with a simple belief—that every milestone deserves more than just a generic speech. Real celebrations need authentic storytelling, thoughtful planning, and scripts that actually sound like people talking.

Crafting Moments Since 2019
Our Beginning

From Awkward Toasts to Meaningful Moments

Back in early 2019, our founder Aelwen Thorneberry watched yet another wedding toast go sideways. The best man froze, stumbled through clichés, and everyone felt uncomfortable. That's when it clicked—people want to celebrate well, but they don't always know how to express what matters most.

What started as helping friends write better speeches turned into something bigger. We realized there's a gap between how people want to celebrate and the tools they have to do it. So we built a service around that.

Now we work with families planning anniversaries, companies organizing milestones, and individuals who just want their words to land right. It's less about fancy language and more about capturing what's genuine.

How We Think About Celebrations

Our approach comes from watching what actually works at real events, not what sounds good in theory.

Creative brainstorming for event concepts

Listen First, Write Second

We spend time understanding what you're actually trying to celebrate. A retirement party for someone who hated their job needs a different tone than one for someone who loved every minute. Context matters more than templates.

Natural Language Over Formal Scripts

The best speeches sound like conversations, not performances. We write scripts that use your vocabulary and rhythm, so when you speak them, they feel like yours—because they are.

Structure That Holds Up Under Pressure

When you're nervous in front of people, a good structure keeps you on track. We build frameworks that guide you through emotional moments without feeling rigid or scripted.

Real Stories, Not Generic Praise

Generic compliments feel hollow. We help you find specific moments and details that actually show why this person or occasion matters. The difference is night and day.

Growing Through Real Experience

Each year taught us something about what makes celebrations meaningful. Here's how we got from those first awkward speeches to where we are now.

2019 – Starting Small

Word-of-mouth referrals from friends and family. Mostly wedding speeches and birthday toasts. We learned that people appreciate honesty more than polish.

Early celebration planning sessions

2021 – Corporate Events

Companies started asking for help with retirement parties and milestone celebrations. This was different—more formal but still needing authenticity. We adapted our approach for workplace settings.

2023 – Expanding Services

Added concept development for entire events, not just speeches. Clients wanted help with themes, flow, and overall experience design. We brought in cultural consultants to serve Taiwan's diverse celebration traditions better.

2025 – What We're Building Now

We're developing a learning program for people who want to improve their own celebration skills. It launches in autumn 2025. The goal is to help more people feel confident speaking at important moments.

Who We Are

Small team, focused approach. We'd rather do fewer projects well than spread ourselves thin across everything.

Founder & Lead Concept Developer

Aelwen spent eight years working in event coordination before starting megonadvanceon. She noticed that the technical side of events usually went smoothly—it was the emotional and storytelling parts that fell flat.

Her background in literature and psychology helps her understand what people are really trying to say when they struggle to find words. She's written over 300 celebration scripts and helped plan countless events across Taiwan.

Outside work, she collects old cookbooks and tests recipes at family gatherings. She believes the best celebrations happen when people feel comfortable being themselves.
